Estimate your CCBWhy the amount changes in July
The CRA recalculates your benefit every July using the previous year's family net income. The payments from July 2026 to June 2027 are based on your 2025 tax returns. Both parents need to file their taxes, even with no income, or the payments can stop.
Small benefits are paid once a year
If your total benefit for the year is under $240, it isn't paid monthly. You get it as one payment with the July payment instead.
If a payment doesn't arrive
- Check the payment's status in your CRA My Account.
- Make sure your address, marital status and direct deposit details are up to date.
- If you still can't tell why, wait 5 business days after the expected date, then contact the CRA.
